Ad Posting Guidelines

To maintain a safe, trustworthy, and high-quality marketplace, all users must follow the guidelines below when posting ads. Ads that do not meet these requirements may be rejected, edited, or removed at the discretion of AMC moderators.

General Requirements for All Ads

1. All ads must be accurate, honest, and complete.
2. The item must be airsoft-related and legal to sell in Canada.
3. Ads must be written in English and use clear, readable descriptions.
4. Do not post duplicate ads for the same item.
5. Update or remove your ad promptly when the item sells or is no longer available.

For Sale Ads – Required Information

Clear & Accurate Title

• Must identify the exact item (e.g., “Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1”, “Custom HPA M4 Build”).
• No clickbait, emojis, or misleading titles.

Price (Mandatory)

• Every For Sale ad requires a real, numeric price.
• “Make an offer,” “$1,” “Free,” or placeholder pricing is not accepted unless the item is truly free.

Detailed Description

Your description must include:

• Item condition (new, used, upgraded, refurbished, parts-only, etc.)
• Estimated round count or usage (if known)
• Any cosmetic wear, defects, repairs, or known issues
• List of included accessories (magazines, batteries, case, charger, etc.)
• Performance details (FPS, Joules, hop-up type, upgrades)
• Anything a buyer should reasonably know before committing

Transparency is required. Misleading or withheld information may result in moderation action.

Payment, Shipping & Pickup Details

Every ad must include clear information about:

Accepted Payment Methods

• e-Transfer, PayPal, cash, etc.
• State whether deposits or holds are accepted.

Shipping Information

• Whether you offer shipping
• Who pays shipping costs
• Carrier preference (Canada Post, UPS, etc.)
• Whether tracking/insurance is included
• Typical shipping timeframe

Local Pickup

• City/town for pickup
• Any restrictions (e.g., public meetups only)

Providing this up front reduces back-and-forth and avoids misunderstandings.

Image Requirements

To keep the marketplace legitimate and protect buyers, image rules are strict.

Actual Photos Required

• Photos must show the exact item you are selling.
• Images must be clear, well-lit, and honest about condition.

Not Allowed

• Stock photos
• Manufacturer marketing images
• Photos taken from other websites
• AI-generated images

Ads that include non-original images will be automatically rejected.

Recommended Photo Set

• Left / right / front / rear views
• Close-ups of upgrades or accessories
• Close-ups of wear or damage
• Partially obscured serial number (optional)

Verification Photo (Strongly Recommended)

To increase trust and reduce fake listings, AMC encourages sellers to include a handwritten verification note in at least one photo.

Your handwritten note should include:

• Your Airsoft Market username
• Today’s date
• A short label such as “AMC”

How to position it:

• Place the note beside or under the item
• Ensure both the item and the note are fully visible and readable

Why this matters:

• Confirms the item is physically in your possession
• Prevents use of old, stolen, or stock photos
• Helps moderators verify your ad faster
• Builds buyer confidence

Moderators may request a verification image if anything appears suspicious.
